Blueberry Margaritas are the perfect pitcher drink to make for your need summer party. They are simple to make and absolutely refreshing.
Mmm…nothing says summer more to me than a margarita. It is my absolute favorite cocktail, and I am okay enjoying it all year long, but there is nothing more refreshing than sipping on a margarita on a cool summer night. I know it is only mid-May, and I am already acting like we have summer weather, but I am okay with that. I had planned to make these on Friday assuming that it would at least by 70 degrees out and we could sit on the porch and have a drink, but it was 50 degrees out… I still made them despite the weather.
They are simple to throw together and are a perfect pitcher drink. One of our most pinned recipes is our Perfect Pitcher Margaritas. If you are looking for a more classic margarita, you should check that recipe out. The blueberry margaritas are very similar to the perfect pitcher margaritas, except for the blueberries and the simple syrup. I put my blueberries in a food processor and then strained them through a fine mesh strainer like this one. If you do not have a fine mesh strainer, you could also muddle the blueberries in the bottom of the pitcher, but it can leave remnants of the blueberries in your drink.
- 1½ cups blueberries, pureed and strained
- 2 cups silver tequila
- ½ triple sec
- ¾ cup simple syrup
- ½ cup fresh lime juice
- Garnish:
- Lime Slices
- Blueberries
- In a food processor puree the 1½ cups of blueberries until smooth. Strain the blueberries into a pitcher.
- Add in the tequila, triple sec, simple syrup, and ½ cup of fresh lime juice. Stir well. Taste and see if you want more simple syrup. Serve in glasses over ice.
