Natural Teething Remedies

December 21, 2017 By Claira

Being a first-time mom I was surprised I did not worry about much when I was pregnant. Well besides having to go through labor, but I wasn’t too worried about being a Mom. That totally changed when Logan arrived, I felt like I was worried about everything. I already considered myself a crunchier mama, but when Logan started to teething around 3 1/2 months I knew that I didn’t want to just give pain relief drugs for teething. It just wasn’t something I felt comfortable with doing. I put together a small list of our/Logan’s favorite natural teething essentials, but he was and is a hardcore teether. He lets you know he is in teething pain. With that being said we have tried so many things.

  • Wink Natural’s Cool Gums

Calms and soothes tender gums, No preservatives or unnecessary additives, Natural and 100% Drug-free. NO                 Benzocaine or Belladonna it’s a safe formula. Seriously, go check out Wink Naturals Cool Gums Teething.

  • Sophie The Giraffe Teether

I was skeptical about this lady giraffe working, but one day at Target I gave in and bought it on an intense teething day. My son loved it and it totally seemed worth the cost.

  • Mombella Ellie Elephant Teether

This is a current favorite of Logan’s. It has the right shape to get to the back of his mouth without him choking. It is also only currently $5 on Amazon.

  • Fresh Food Feeder

When Logan had not tried foods yet, I would freeze breastmilk in ice cube trays and insert in the fresh food feeder. You can put frozen formula, frozen or fresh fruit.

  • Munch Mitt Baby Teething–

This is a great item to put on baby especially if they start teething early, and they are still not coordinated enough to hold objects up to their mouth. I would put this in the freezer too before giving it and Logan loved that. As he got older (currently 8 months) he isn’t a fan of this when he is having teething pain, but at the 4-month mark and he started teething this was a lifesaver.

  • Amber Teething Necklace

I recently purchased an Amber Teething Necklace for Logan. I keep it on him during the day and take it off at night. It’s just my personal feelings on wanting to make sure he is safe in his crib overnight. For naps times I leave it on as we are up and more aware of things then in the middle of the night. The link I posted is the one I personally bought, and they have a 30-day money back guarantee.

  • Organic Teething Wafer

I love these! They break off easily and almost melt away in their mouth. These are not a must, but Logan did love these. We started with these at 6 months and now that he is eating more food he is not into them that much anymore.

  • Teething Keys

Nothing particularly special about these keys, but they are just the ones we had to keep in the freezer for when he needed something cool.
