The first time that I went to make a green smoothie, I was very hesitant and thought that it would taste like eating lettuce or a salad. Well I was very very wrong, and if you have had one, you probably enjoyed it too.
This Green Tropical Smoothie with Blueberries is creamy, refreshing and very nutritious. It also has Maca powder in it, which is a powder that is known to give energy and provide vitamins, minerals, and so much more. It has a potent taste. If you do not like the taste of Maca, you can just not add it to your smoothie. I also topped mine with Chia seeds.
- 1 cup spinach leaves
- ½ cup frozen blueberries
- 1 cup frozen pineapple
- 1 frozen ripe banana
- 2 cups almond milk (water, milk, coconut milk etc)
- 1 tablespoons chia seeds
- 1 tsp maca powder (optional)
- Combine spinach, blueberries, pineapple, banana, almond milk, chia seeds, and maca powder in blender. Add more water if needed to reach your desired consistency.
- Serve immediately.
