A super easy fresh mango salsa that comes together in just a few minutes. It is perfect just with tortilla chips or on top of fish, chicken or pork.
Salsa is one of my favorite appetizers. I first had a mango salsa at Whole Foods. I love how they sample different things throughout their store. I usually only go in there for 1 or 2 items, but I always make sure to make my way to where all of the samples are.
This fresh mango salsa is super easy to make and will sure impress all of your guests. It has mango, red onion, cilantro, lime, a jalapeño, and salt. That is it! You will have it ready in under 5 minutes; well thats if you are good at cutting mangos. It took me a few times of eating them to figure out how to cut them properly. I found this video on youtube helpful.
I also wanted to tell you guys about Yummly today. I am not sure if you have heard of it or if you are currently using it, but I think it is an awesome place to find recipes. It’s a free food saving website that helps you find recipes that are just for you. You set up your taste preferences, family size, and if you have food allergies. It then learns what kind of recipes you might be interested in. Each time you log in, you will find a recipe profile that is just for you. Here is our Yummly page. I really recommend creating a log in for Yummly and giving it a try. We also have a Yummly button on our blog which will make it easier in the future when you find recipes you love on our blog.
- 3 ripce mangos, cut into cubes
- ⅓ cup chopped red onion
- 1 cup cilantro, choppped ( about ½ cup chopped)
- 1 Jalapeno, seeded and diced
- ¼ cup lime juice (1-2 limes)
- ½ teaspoon salt (or more to taste)
- In a serving bowl, combine the mango, red onion, cilantro, lime, jalapeno, and salt. Try the salsa and add more salt if needed.
- I like to let my salsa sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes for the best flavor.
