Total time
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2-3/4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ⅓ cup quick oats
  1. Preheat oven to 325, and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl or a stand mixer with a hook attachment add, pumpkin puree, peanut butter, 2 eggs, and milk. Mix on low until well combined or whisk together until well combined.
  3. Add the flour, baking powder, and quick oats.
  4. If using a mixture mix, on low until the dough is no longer sticky. Add more flour if needed, add ¼ cup at a time. You want the dough to be dry.
  5. If mixing it by hand, stir in the flour with a wood spoon. I find that I need to mix the dough with my hands to better incorporate everything. Make sure that the dough is dry before rolling.
  6. Lightly flour a flat surface, roll out dough with a lightly floured rolling pin to ½ inch thickness. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and flip the shapes to the other side and bake for 8-10 minutes on the other side.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool completely before feeding them to your pup.
  8. Store covered in the refrigerator for 1 week or freeze for 1-2 months.
