Ingredients
  • ¼ Cup of granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • ¼ Cup Crisco shortening
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 2 Cups flour
  • 1 Tbsp baking soda
  • 1Tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ⅓ Cup buttermilk
  • 1 Cup smashed over ripe bananas
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • BUTTER CREAM FROSTING
  • ½ Cup unsalted butter (softened to room temp)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 Cups powdered Sugar
  • 1 to 3 Tbsp milk
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Grease a 13x9 pan
  3. With a stand up mixer or hand mixer beat on high the sugar, eggs, crisco and margarin
  4. In separate bowl combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt
  5. Slowly add dry to read a little at a time alternate adding the buttermilk
  6. Mix until incorporated
  7. Add bananas and vanilla and mix batter until combined
  8. Pour into a 13x9 pan
  9. Bake for 40
  10. Remove and let cool completely
  11. FROSTING
  12. With mixer combine softened butter, vanilla and alternate adding little powdered sugar and then milk until the flavor and consistency you desire is reached. You can add a little more or less of the ingredients as desired.
  13. Frost cooled cake and Enjoy!
